The Kenyan Wall Street Hosts Bullish Africa Investors Reception Alongside France-Africa Summit

The highly anticipated exclusive Bullish Africa Investors Reception, hosted by The Kenyan Wall Street and Wall Street Africa Group, is set to take place this evening in Nairobi.
The event will see leaders, builders and decision-makers discuss how to strengthen the Europe–Africa Investment Corridor, providing an evening of high-level dialogue, real deals, and meaningful connections.
On the podium will be such business leaders as, among others, Elisa Moreno (Chairwoman, Ring Capital & African Commission at France Invest); John Gachora (MD & CEO NCBA Group); Esther Waititu (CFO, Safaricom PLC); Moriasi Omambia (General Counsel and Head of Business at Sauti Sol Group); Vishal Agarwal, Chairman and CEO, Full Circle Africa.
Hosted by Amb. Thomas Kwaka, the event will also include John Mwenda, CEO of Invest Kenya, and Abubakar Hassan, Principal Secretary in the State Department for Investment Promotion. Event Partners include NCBA Group, Hisa, Sol Group, MediaPal, InvestKenya, WildMango, D&R Studios, Safaricom, NSE, and Klima Harvest.
The high-level event comes at a time when global capital is increasingly turning toward Africa’s markets, while also building momentum toward the upcoming Bullish Africa Annual Summit at the 81st United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York this September.

How Transnational Syndicates are Trafficking Kenyans Abroad

The dream of a lucrative "tech job" or a "security assignment" abroad is turning into a living nightmare for scores of Kenyans, as sophisticated transnational syndicates trade human lives for profit.
From the neon-lit scam compounds of Southeast Asia to the active frontlines of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs has laid bare a chilling escalation in fraudulent recruitment practices. Perhaps the most alarming shift is the documentation of 252 Kenyans enlisting in Russian special forces.
The human trafficking syndicates are using different tactics, including routing travel routes through 'safe' transit hubs, and deploying tools such as generative AI to create hyper-realistic recruitment scams that outpace current preventive measures.
